Community Energy England and Community Energy Wales have launched the first State of the Sector Survey. This survey aims to collect data on community energy generation, energy savings and CO2 reduction projects in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They need to be able to back up the work they do nationally with hard data, so the more responses they receive, the stronger their position will be when representing the sector.

Community Energy England (CEE) and Community Energy Wales are aware that groups receive many surveys but they ask that if you only complete one survey this year you please complete this one.  With Scene, their survey partner, they have tried to keep the survey concise as possible, whilst ensuring that the data they collect is relevant to the national work they are conducting and easy for you to obtain. For those of you who completed the FiTs survey by Quantum Strategy and Technology in 2015, CEE can send you a copy of the information you submitted if you would find it helpful. If you would like a copy please email Jon Hall.

Going forwards CEE will endeavour to do this survey at the same time every year, building on previous years' data to ensure that you are not asked to input again information submitted this year.

The survey can also be accessed via the link below. Please share the survey through your networks so that we capture data from as many community energy organisations as possible.

The deadline for submissions is 20 February 2017.
